Wigan Cosmos Football Club Newsletter.......In Brief

Wigan Cosmos are proud to be associated with Joseph’s Goal.

Joseph Michael Kendrick, was born on May 9, 2009 and has NKH (Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia) - a rare, life-limiting disorder. Joseph's Goal is to raise awareness and funds to find a cure.

Evolution not revolution………

The Cosmos Family offers a warm welcome to Darryl Picton, Paul and Margaret Wood.

Darryl comes with many years of experience in non-league football with spells at Ashton Town, St Helens Town and his last position was as Chairman of Wigan Robin Park Football Club.
Paul and Margaret were also at Wigan Robin Park FC and were previously at Altrincham Football Club for a number of years. Paul’s time at Altrincham was short, four years, and Margaret for more years than she would like to admit to.

Paul is at the moment is Margaret’s pusher as she is stuck in a wheelchair after suffering a very nasty broken ankle. Paul has been a Latics fan and has watched them since 1965. Unfortunately prices have become far too high for him to go and watch them, but he has completed the circle by coming back to proper football at the grassroots level.

The Cosmos benefited from a retirement. Paul reached the grand age of 65 in August and has been able to donate a modest amount to The Cosmos to help with the clubs development fund......
Wigan Borough Sports Awards

The Cosmos recently won the Wigan Healthy Stadia Sports Club of the Year Award, and were presented with this at Wigan Borough Sports Awards at the DW Stadium on the 12 September 2014.
